A BRIEF LOOK AT CONSOLEONE

Novell is shifting the network management paradigm from legacy utilities, such as NetWare Administrator and NDS Manager, to the Java-based ConsoleOne utility. This all-in-one utility provides the ability to manage all NDS objects and the NDS schema.

In addition, ConsoleOne also provides NDS partition and replica functionality, as well as the ability to create filtered replicas. If that isn't enough, Novell plans to include ConsoleOne snap-ins for nearly all of its new products. This slick utility will truly become the network administrator's weapon of choice for managing a network.

Now that we've whetted your appetite, you might be wondering where to find this cool new utility and how to install it. The ConsoleOne application is available for download from Novell's Web site, at no cost to you. The latest version is ConsoleOne 1.2c7.
