TRY BEFORE YOU BUY: NOVELL'S DEMOCITY

Originally designed as a tool for sales and marketing personnel, Novell's democity Web site has been released to the public, providing you with the opportunity to test-drive products before purchasing them.

While democity will never replace trial versions, it's an interesting concept that demonstrates how Citrix technology can be blended with Novell's products to produce a reliable user interface.

You can see an example of how this Web site works by checking out the interactive demonstration of Novell Cluster Services. Highlight the Management link on the democity home page and select NetWare Cluster Services. Then click Interactive Demo. This will begin a Citrix session, and you'll be asked to authenticate using a login and password that's provided. Once "logged in," you'll be given a quick demonstration of the product.

As we mentioned, this Web site was originally designed for sales and marketing professionals, enabling them to provide clients with reliable demonstrations from virtually any computer that has Internet access.
